Billy Waugh

Billy Waugh has worked for more than fifty years and in more than sixty countries as a U.S. Army Special Forces active duty or CIA ground soldier. He was among the first U.S. soldiers to join the Special Forces in 1954 and was among the first to be called a Green Beret. In 1994, Waugh was the team leader of a four-man CIA group that laid the groundwork for the capture of Carlos the Jackal, the world's most wanted man at that time. He fought in the Korean and Vietnam Wars among other conflicts, and most recently, at the age of 72, was a team member of a combined Special Forces/CIA takedown unit hunting down Al Qaeda, Taliban, and Chechen forces inside Afghanistan. Billy's memoir, Hunting the Jackal, was published by HarperCollins.
