Futurecast: How a Sole Superpower, Populations, and Globalization Will Change the Way You Live and Work
by Robert Shapiro
The Former Under Secretary of Commerce and Bill Clinton’s principal economic advisor, Robert Shapiro, offers predictions for major shifts in our lives over the next dozen years. Shapiro believes that four major forces – globalization, demographics, politics and the status of energy sources as influenced by the environment’s shift – will shape the rise and fall of nations. From his vision of a new China as the investment-based model for developing nations to the US economy being beholden to foreign lenders for capital, Shapiro’s predictions are startling in their clarity and potential ramifications.
