Michael Largo
Michael Largo has been collecting statistics and information on the American way of dying for more than a decade. He is the author of three books, the former editor of New York Poetry and a researcher/archivist for the film company Allied Artists in Atlanta, GA. Final Exits won the 2006 Bram Stoker Award in the category of "Superior Achievement in Nonfiction". His upcoming book, The Portable Obituary, reveals the true last days of public figures and reviews their lives from the vantage point of death. HarperCollins recently acquired the third book in the trilogy, Genius and Heroin, which archives the self-destructive lives and deaths of the extremely gifted from all arenas, including actors, politicians, athletes, scientists, musicians and military leaders.
