Dr. Sanjiv Chopra
Dr. Sanjiv Chopra is Professor of Medicine and Faculty Dean for Continuing Medical Education at Harvard Medical School. He is the Director of Clinical Hepatology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. Dr. Chopra has approximately 100 publications, including the books Disorders of the Liver, (which has been translated into Japanese and Italian), Pathophysiology of Gastrointestinal Diseases, Gastroenterology: Problems in Primary Care, and Dr. Sanjiv Chopra's Liver Book. Dr. Chopra has been the recipient of the George W. Thorn Award and The Excellence in Teaching Award, both presented by Harvard Medical School. In 2003, he was also honored by being the recipient of the AGA Distinguished Educator Award. Dr. Chopra's new book with Dr. Alan Lotvin, Dr. Chopra's Medical Guide: The Incredibly Complex and Confusing World of Modern Medicine Explained Simply, will be published by St. Martin's Press.
