Lorenzo Benet has collaborated with Scott Hamilton on the New York Times best seller Landing It: My Life On and Off the Ice; with political activist Star Parker on her 1997 memoir for Pocket Books, Pimps, Whores and Welfare Brats: The Stunning Conservative Transformation of a Former Welfare Queen; and was the co-author of the St. Martin's Press biography The Lives of Danielle Steel. Since 1989, he has been a staff correspondent for People magazine, where he covered the Persian Gulf War and the O.J. Simpson trial. Benet served on the staffs of both The Miami Herald and The Los Angeles Daily News before joining People magazine.
